Rain fails to stop play
Atrocious weather failed to dampen the spirits of our Groundbreakers and their friends, who had planned to camp out in Four Lanes for a weekend in July.
To secure their place at camp, each Groundbreaker had to invite a friend. 15 responded to the challenge, so 30 young folk were hoping for a dry weekend... which they didn’t get!
The adventure was hastily rearranged for St Mary’s Church, with girls sleeping in the church and boys in the hall.
On the Friday evening there were testimonies from the Young Leaders, a film on the Big Screen and groundbreaking games (thanks, Janet!), followed by Luminous Frisby games on the beach and a Midnight Feast.
The following day they joined in with the Mish Mash craft morning. Amazing fun!
