Young Leaders’ trip to Exeter
Our Young Leaders, unwinding at a Pizza Hut. Being a leader is hungry work!

A group of our young people are training to be Christian Young Leaders, helping to run some of our weekly youth events.

Recently they went to Exeter to help with the ‘Service with a Smile’ at Stoke Canon. This service is new and has been developed after two members of Stoke Canon church came to our Teatime Service.

Jed and his fellow puppeteers performed the story of Elijah – the bulls bursting into flames was a true hit and we managed to stop the church warden from throwing on a fire blanket! The young leaders worked hard with the youth from Stoke Canon, passing on some puppet skills and those young people joined us in singing a song in the service. Chantel played the part of Mrs Geeky, perfectly delivering a message about the power of prayer in a unique way.

Ian Redmoor kindly transported us in a mini bus and put up with us singing all the way home! And of course we enjoyed a smashing nosh-up at a Pizza Hut.
